Week 5

It belongs in this course that every group have a company and the mission is to do a project for them. It really had matter which company you got because the companies and tasks were so different. We did knew the companies before (our is videoproduct corporation Digipeople Studio) but on Monday we had a chance to get to know better to our company. There was many good presentations from different companies but the most important speaker was Pekka (CEO) from Digipeople Studio. He told us about the company, their concept and what they do. It sound really interesting and fun how you can use your creativity and only sky is the limit. They have done some amazing commercial videos and projects for different corporations, even the really big ones.

We had a small meeting with Pekka and we had a chance to learn more about his work and what he expect from us. Our first mission is to pick a company who don't have any commercials and have enough many to make one. So it can't be too large (they already have commercials) or small (budget) businesses. When we have decide the company we have to do a synopsis, like a storyline, about our idea. I'm really looking for this!

Oh, we also get to homework to do BMC from Digipeople Studio and a little presentation about what we are doing and what is our task.

On Thursday we did give our presentation but first we had a visitor lecturer Jyri from Vapa Media. Vapa Media is a corporation which help other companys to get their marketing for the right audience. He had some interesting points about thinking, problem solving and how to present the right questions. It was interesting how deeply you have to think and analyse your thoughts or problems. You really have to think about what is the point? Why this is important? What is the meaning? You have some small problems like what should I eat today or huge problems like what is the meaning of life? It was interesting point what Jyri said: "The size of the problem is equivalent to the amount of the time used to solve the problem".

At this week was also Nordic Business Forum where was the best speakers and business gurus. I was watching Simon Sineks presentation at Hanken. He spoke much about endorphines, dopamines, seratoin, oxytocin and what kind of impact these hormones have on human behavior. He had some good points about leadership and how a person naturally works and react on different kind of situations, how you show that you care about your employee and how your employee think, expect and feel to work with you. There was many usefull information for the future.

I really enjoyed this week, thank you.
