Week 14

The end of fall semester is almost here and second last week is over. Mika Aittamäki from Rainmaker gave us a great presentation about Digital Sales. He had good points about digital breakthrough where sales are changing ->you can buy everything or anything on internet at any time. Before shops had advantage of:

1. Availability (power, opening hours)

2. Pricing (define the price) and

3. Product information (retailers contact details)

Now everything is changed because of digitalization and shops have to adapt to it. Even though shopping has begun easier and faster, machines can't analyze feelings. It is researched that people buy things by feelings and intuition. Machines can analyse desire but they can't analyze need. Like Mika said "it would be weird if seller says to customer who have bought a computer, that here is razors which other customers had looked after buying a computer". Even internet have revolutionize our world, business is always from human to human.

To quote Simon Sinek "If you don't understand people, you don't understand business".

Next lecturer was our own Senior lecturer Ilkka Kurkela whos topic was Digital Humanism. Unfortunately I couldn't listen to his presentation til the end because I had to go to my French exam but his topics were logos=logic and facts, Pathos=feelings and Ethos=content. So, when you are going to keep a presentation you should think about these three things and harmonize them.

Here is a picture about giving mornings and evenings 5 min focus of something positive and what your are grateful about. It gives a better start and end of day.

On Thursday we had a second online exam. It was about digital breakthrough and humanity, sales and my own learning and thoughts. It was harder than the other exam. I really understood the whole exam materials but I felt that I didn't nailed it. I had problems with writing or maybe it was just a bad day... But anyway, let see how it went.
